The article deals with the basic etnopedagogical ideas  of the famous teacher of international renown K. D.Ushinsky. Although scientists have not written a single work of folk pedagogy, but all his works are imbued with the ideas of the nation, science, morality. His concept of the school, the introduction of the principles of science, nationalism, morality in the educational process have become classics, they also contribute to the development of modern pedagogy and practice.
