Ushinskii’s ideas on monitoring in education and their applying in modern school

Abstract
The article deals with the points of view by K.D. Ushinsky concerning the organization of the control in teaching. The recommendations of the outstanding educator aimed at the pupils’ stimulation in the check-up process are analyzed. The thoughts of the educationist as for holding examinations are considered. The ideas regarding the organization of the educational- cognitive activity control, which are used in modern schools of different levels, are emphasized.
