The article deals with the philosophical and pedagogical ideas of KD Ushynskiy’s pedagogical heritage on the formation of children's holistic world view. The author manages to compare the theological and humanistic paradigms of education, considering the content, methods, tools and pedagogical conditions of students' holistic world view that were proposed by KD Ushinskiy.
